Dialix oxalto titbits for cats and dogs 300 g
Supplement for cats and dogs indicated for preventing the formation of oxalate, calcium phosphate, urate and cystine calculi
Oxalate, urate, cystine and phosphate calculi. Metabolic acidosis
-Highly palatable supplement for dogs and cats indicated for preventing the formation of oxalate, calcium phosphate, urate and cystine calculi; eliminating urate and cystine calculi; and combatting metabolic acidosis.
-Potassium citrate is calcium chelator that reduces its availability in the urine, reducing the reappearance of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate uroliths.
-In addition, potassium citrate administered orally alkalises the urine, which favours the elimination of the calculi that form in acidic conditions such as urate and cystine calculi.
-Potassium citrate is also used to combat metabolic acidosis (e.g.: chronic kidney disease) because of its alkalising action.
-Long-term alkalisation of urine increases the risk of bacterial infections. To prevent them occurring, Dialix® Oxalate includes Vaccinium macrocarpon in its formula which, thanks to its high content of proanthocyanidins (PAC), by using an anti-adhesive action, it impedes the bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract.
-Potassium citrate and Vaccinium macrocarpon come in the form of microcapsules to improve their stability, maximising their efficacy during their useful life.
-Recent research has shown that the addition of fatty acids to a dog's diet delays the degeneration of kidney function. The addition of Omega 3 and 6 in the Dialix® Oxalate formula therefore contributes towards the prevention of oxalate calculi relapses in dogs with impaired kidney function.
-300 g container (60 days for a cat or small dog, 20 days for a 15 kg dog). Highly palatable titbits to be added to food.
