    • Ascarid infestations can occur in very young dogs transmitted by transplacental and transmammary routes. In some animals, especially in severe infestations, removal of roundworms may be incomplete, so that a possible risk of infection in man can be excluded.
    • Where appropriate for epidemiological reasons, it is recommended to start treatment at 2 weeks of age and repeat at appropriate intervals (e.g. every 2 weeks) until weaning. In all other cases, treatment should be carried out when the infestation has been confirmed, e.g. on the basis of the results of faecal tests.

    • The tablets contain aroma and studies have shown that they are palatable and that most dogs (88 %) take the tablets voluntarily. The tablets can be administered with or without food. There is no need to limit access to food before or after treatment. For the control of nematodes and cestodes, the tablets should be taken in one sitting. The treatment schedule should be established in agreement with the veterinarian. As a general rule, the guideline for Deworming in adult dogs (over 6 months old) is every 3 months. If an owner decides not to regularly deworm his dog, a viable alternative would be to perform coprological tests every 3 months.
    • In specific situations such as lactating bitches, young puppies (under 6 months) or in environments as kennels, more than one treatment may be necessary and the veterinarian should be consulted to establish the most appropriate deworming protocol. However, in certain situations (such as high parasitic nematode infestation or Echinococcus), treatments may be necessary additional and the veterinarian can advise on the need for repetition.
    • Do not use on dogs weighing less than 2 kg.
    • To ensure that the correct dose is administered, the weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
