Alverin is a yellow, gel type and with an uniform consistency oral paste for horses.

Each Alverin g contains:

  • Active substance:

    • Ivermectin: 18,7 mg
  • List of excipients:

    • Corn oil
    • Polysorbate 80
    • Apple flavour
    • Colloidal anhydrous silica

Waiting time(s)

  • Meat: 21 days.
  • Do not use on species other than the target species, as serious adverse reactions, including death in dogs, may occur.
  • Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipient.
  • Do not use on mares whose milk is used for human consumption.

Amounts ofAlverin to be administered and administration route:

  • Administer orally the recommended dose of 0.2 mg ivermectin per kg live weight.
  • Each syringe contains 120 mg ivermectin, enough to treat an animal of 600 kg live weight.
  • Determine the live weight of the animal as accurately as possible in order to ensure that administration of the correct dose.
  • If animals are to be treated collectively rather than individually, they should be grouped according to live weight and dosed according to live weight to avoid under- or overdosing.
  • Instructions for use:
    • Each weight indication marked on the plunger of the syringe provides sufficient paste to treat 100 kg live weight.
    • Turn the slotted ring 1/4 turn and slide it along the plunger until the part of the ring closest to the cylinder coincides with the desired weight signal.
    • Turn the ring 1/4 turn to fix it. Remove the plastic cap from the end of the syringe.
    • Make sure that the horse's mouth does not contain any food. Insert the syringe into the horse's mouth in the interdental space.
    • Press the plunger all the way to the top, depositing the medication at the base of the tongue.
