Lactofin is a colorless oral solution for cats and dogs.

Each ml Lactofin contains:

  • Active substance:

    • Cabergoline 50 mcg
  • List of excipients:
    • Medium chain triglycerides (Miglyol 812)

Indications for use of Lactofin, specifying the target species:

  • Dogs and cats:
    • Treatment of pseudogestation in bitches.
    • Suppression of lactation in dogs and cats.
    • As an adjuvant in the treatment of eclampsia and mamitis accompanied by milk secretion in dogs and cats.

Amounts of Lactofin to be administered and administration route:

  • Oral administration route.
  • Administer by oral route directly in the mouth of the animal or mixed with the food to the following doses:
    • Dogs: 0.1 ml/kg body weight (equivalent to 5 mcg cabergoline/kg body weight) once a day for 4-6 days, depending on the severity of the clinical picture.
    • Cats: 0.5 -1 ml/animal once a day for 4-6 days, depending on the severity of the clinical picture.
