Dosalid 300 mg posology:

Dosalid 300 mg is designed for oral administration only.

It is not necessary or recommended that animals be fasted.

The recommended dose is 10.5 mg/kg of the combined active ingredients, consisting of 5.5 mg/kg epsiprantel and 5.0 mg/kg pirantel (embonato), equivalent to 1 tablet per 4.5 kg Pv

The recommended dosing schedule is as follows:

Live weight (kg) Number of tablets per dose
1 - 2 ½
3 - 4 1
5 - 6 1 ½
7 - 9 2
10- 13 3

Taking into account the biological cycle of the parasite to be treated, and the environment in which the animals are treated, the frequency of administration of the drug will be established.

Care should be taken to control the reinfection of the dog by scrupulous care of the hygiene and control of intermediary hosts such as fleas, as well as avoiding access to contaminated food (eg, raw wild rabbit).

Given the high pathogenicity for the person, in the case of diagnosis of E. granulosus infection, a second treatment that requires an efficiency of 100% will be required.
