Mineral nutritional supplement for cows

Bovikalc is a dietary supplement for cattle.

Each bolus of Bovikalc contains:

  • Composition:

    • Calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, mono and diglycerides of fatty acids esterified with acetic acid.
  • Analytical constituents :
    • Calcium 21,9 %.
    • Moisture 32.0
    • Each bolus contains 43 g of calcium, of which 71% is calcium chloride and 29% is calcium sulphate.
    • Contains no sodium, phosphorus or magnesium.

Each bolus of Bovikalc Dry contains:

  • Composition:

    • Calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids esterified at acetic acid.
  • Additives:

    • Vitamins and provitamins:
    • Vitamin D3 (3a671): 100,000 IU per kg
    • Vitamin E (3a700): 5.000 IU per kg
    • Other zootechnical feeds :
    • Ammonium chloride (4d8): 10.4%.
    • Trace elements: Selenium-Se (E8): 12 mg per kg.
  • Analytical constituents :
    • Calcium: 19.8%.
    • Water: 30.3%.
    • Does not contain sodium, phosphorus or magnesium.

Bovikalc:

  • Provides a high calcium intake to reduce the risk of milk fever in dairy cows around calving.
  • Contains calcium chloride, which dissolves quickly in the rumen, and calcium sulphate, which dissolves only after being broken down by rumen microflora.

Bovikalc Dry:

  • During dry-up, a large amount of milk remains in the udder leading to udder congestion. The increased pressure in the udder causes pain and discomfort to the cow.
  • Bovikalc Dry** is a mineral-based oral nutritional supplement for dry dairy cows.
  • Bovikalc Dry** can help reduce milk production during dry-off. Reduced milk production can help reduce udder congestion.

Bovikalc:

  • For use in dairy cows predisposed to the risk of milk fever, particularly in high producing dairy cows and cows with a history of milk fever.

  • Administer orally, using the applicator provided:

    • For cows at risk of milk fever, give 4 bolus :
    • 1st bolus at first signs of calving
    • 2nd bolus immediately after calving
    • 3rd bolus 12 to 15 hours after calving
    • 4th bolus 24 to 30 hours after calving

    • For cows receiving treatment for milk fever by calcium injection, give 2 boluses :
    • 1st bolus 2 to 3 hours after the intravenous calcium injection;
    • 2nd bolus 12 to 15 hours later.
  • Consultation with a nutritionist is recommended before use.

Bovikalc Dry:

  • To be used in dairy cows at dry-off.

  • Give 2 boluses at last milking or 8-12 hours before last milking. Do not give more than 4 boluses per 24 hours.
